Description
The larkspur / delphinium flower is the birth flower for July. It also symbolizes an open heart while conveying a feeling of lightness and levity. These flowers are also called Larks Heel, Larks Claw and Knights Spur. These beauties were often used by Native Americans and European settlers to make blue dye. It is believed that one of the first uses of these flowers was to drive away scorpions.
