Description
The original zinnias were found in the wild of Mexico in the 1500s. The Zinnia is called the Cinderella flower because the original flowers were so dull and unattractive that the Aztec name for them meant �eyesore�. A German wild flower breeder named Dr.Gottfried Zinn bred them to develop the beauty they display today, hence the name Zinnia.
The symbolic meaning associated with zinnias are thoughts of absent friends, lasting affection, goodness and daily remembrance much like God�s enduring love for us.
