Description
My cute little garden buddy and I have quite a good natured skirmish going on. He seems intent on hanging out around the flowers and the bird feeders while I am just as intent on seeing him move on. The 13 line ground squirrel is considered a rodent by most and I can see where he might be a pest if he decided to move his entire family into the neighborhood. Many folks in the rural areas also call them “streaked gophers”. This little guy is the mascot for the University of Minnesota sports teams, the Golden Gophers.
