The cereus is a large family of medium growing columnar cactus that is loved for their beautiful large flowers. Cereus flowers often appear only for a single night, withering at dawn. At most, some flowers may linger into part of the following day. A large cereus cactus may have many blooms, but the plant�s entire bloom season may last only two days. The inner petals are white and the outer petals are either purple or red.

I have always had an interest in photography but it wasn’t until a recent birthday present from my husband that I had a camera I really felt comfortable using. Looking through the lens of a camera has changed how I see the world around me. While I think pictures are a great way to share memories, to me they are also a great way to tell a story. My hope is that the viewers of my photos can relate to them and see the uniqueness that I see. I really enjoy macro photography - getting a close up look at the beauty that God has surrounded us with. It amazes me how I notice things while carrying a camera that I never would have seen before.
