I am so fortunate to live in southeastern Minnesota where we are blessed to have the hills, valleys and waterways that make up the geology for our area. This diverse terrain also has many different species of trees ranging from the pines, hardwoods and softwoods to the smaller wild plants like sumac. These different types of trees each contribute in their own way to provide the beautiful palate of fall colors that we get to enjoy. This magnificent splendor is also a friendly reminder that the trees will soon start their long winter nap but we know spring will arrive and the cycle will start all over again.

I have always had an interest in photography but it wasnt until a recent birthday present from my husband that I had a camera I really felt comfortable using. Looking through the lens of a camera has changed how I see the world around me. While I think pictures are a great way to share memories, to me they are also a great way to tell a story. My hope is that the viewers of my photos can relate to them and see the uniqueness that I see. I really enjoy macro photography - getting a close up look at the beauty that God has surrounded us with. It amazes me how I notice things while carrying a camera that I never would have seen before. Lighting, shadows and reflections are now seen with an eye for detail instead of a passing...
