While escaping the house with a walk through a neighboring wood lot I saw this large doe watching my every move. I think she was convinced that I would not see her but those big eyes gave her away. She was seemingly content to just allow me my space and the opportunity to take this photograph. After she finished checking me out she slowly wandered off into the underbrush.

I have always had an interest in photography but it wasn’t until a recent birthday present from my husband that I had a camera I really felt comfortable using. Looking through the lens of a camera has changed how I see the world around me. While I think pictures are a great way to share memories, to me they are also a great way to tell a story. My hope is that the viewers of my photos can relate to them and see the uniqueness that I see. I really enjoy macro photography - getting a close up look at the beauty that God has surrounded us with. It amazes me how I notice things while carrying a camera that I never would have seen before. Lighting, shadows and reflections are now seen with an eye for detail instead of a passing...
