My daily walk on this first crisp fall-like morning took me past these wild flowers. I stopped and watched as they were struggling in the wind to show their bright colors. Their bright petals were in stark contrast to the fading summer colors that are becoming more evident with each passing day.

I have always had an interest in photography but it wasn’t until a recent birthday present from my husband that I had a camera I really felt comfortable using. Looking through the lens of a camera has changed how I see the world around me. While I think pictures are a great way to share memories, to me they are also a great way to tell a story. My hope is that the viewers of my photos can relate to them and see the uniqueness that I see. I really enjoy macro photography - getting a close up look at the beauty that God has surrounded us with. It amazes me how I notice things while carrying a camera that I never would have seen before. Lighting, shadows and reflections are now seen with an eye for detail instead of a passing...
