Description
The Red Admiral, also known as the Vanessa atalanta, will occasionally frequent a flower bed but only when their favorite foods are not available. They prefer sap flows on trees and fermenting fruit. These butterflies are known for their erratic, rapid flight. They migrate from the north to spend the winter months in south Texas.
